"Ahh, well, we're beyond Christmas and all celebrations that go with it. BUT we can never have enough tea and cake during the winter, can we? Most of us have experienced a wild winter. Some of us have made the most of it, lighting fireplaces and reading in our favorite chairs. Others have grumbled their way into depression over snow and ice. For the latter, I say brew up a pot of tea and go read some George Eliot or Charles Dickens!
There is something about tucking ourselves away like squirrels that makes life seem more natural during winter months. Were we really meant for skidding around on the freeways and shopping on Black Friday? Here at the manor, we spend our winter days feeding the wildlife, taking walks to the frozen pond, observing the weight of winter on everything within its reach. Photography is a favorite pastime during the frigid months, and this season has been no different. I have learned to take many photos through window panes rather than going out-of-doors where the camera lens will fog! As well, my husband and I have done some serious writing and planning for the busy spring and summer seasons ahead: travel for lectures, workshops, the publication of at least one book, and of course: B & B and workshop events at the manor.
Sending blessings to you all from Ohio (USA), and wishing you an easy March and a blooming good April ahead!" NAMASTE, Freda

"So long to summer and greetings to crisp fall days filled with back-to-school and sports events. While we are taking-in the rich colorful scenery of the Midwest, we remember how thankful we are to live in a country that allows us to live, worship, and share our ideas with one another freely. All of this typically happens on the American holiday known as Thanksgiving. This day evokes strong feelings of loved ones gathered around a table enjoying the bounty from America's farms, the safety of being among those with whom you identify. If you remember the Ideals publications, you can certainly relate. As long as American families reach out to one another and find a common bond of Thanksgiving for their lives of freedom and opportunity in this great nation, we will worry less about what Washington is doing. The American spirit cannot be trampled underfoot.
This Thanksgiving, let's reach out to those we know and make known our reasons for being thankful. We sometimes forget the privileges we know as Americans. If we travel to other regions of the globe, we suddenly remember how blessed we are to live in a nation where Thanksgiving is the most important holiday of the year. For those of you who are traveling this holiday season, go with love and blessings and return home safely. Happy Thanksgiving!" ~ Freda

"What a Whirlwind 3 months it has been! New financial opportunities abound. a publishing company continues to show interest in my non-fiction book, Karma road. And most recently, one more publisher has thrown its hat in the ring. i've been working furiously to expand potential earnings from my own lodging business, two marketing opportunities, and my writing. These have consumed most of my time. I LOVE MULTIPLE STREAMS OF INCOME, don't you?
However, I have made time for my family and for my love of nature. I am again developing an organic garden inside my greenhouse. I have beans and cucumbers growing inside! I also have tomatoes, peppers, herbs and more. organic gardening grounds me, and I love fresh veggies! Do share what you have been doing with your summer. Namaste!"~ Freda
Creating a Webinar event Issue #5
April 2013

Have you ever created your own webinar event? Perhaps you've attended others' webinars and think to yourself how difficult and expensive it might be to do yourself. My friend, Carson Tang, posted this information on his Powermastery site: http://www.rightmixmarketing.com/webinars-and-public-speaking/how-to-do-webinar-tools/ Webinars can help you achieve the business and personal success that you are looking for in the global market!
I enjoy listening to webinars as opposed to teleconferences. It is a real plus for your clients to be given a link where they can return and listen again and again to webinar archives. The more you consider your clients, the more they will consider you!
Webinars, podcasts, and even Youtube videos of your events will bring customers to you without anyone leaving home. No travel expense is a real convenience to a client who wishes to buy your products, but cannot attend a live event.
Be professional with your multimedia offerings. See how other professionals handle them, and then move out to make your mark. Namaste! ~ Freda

Return from george Eliot country! issue #4
March 2013
Oh, the joys of traveling! As I said below, plan ahead and don't take all of the advice you are given! Research every aspect of transportation and communication in a foreign country! YES, I have returned from England rich with the sights, sounds, and scents of George Eliot's aka Mary Ann(e) Evans' countryside. We arrived in Nuneaton on 23 February and stayed for three days in the house where Eliot lived for over twenty one years of her life. This homestead, Giff House, and the surrounding countryside was also the setting for her novel, THE MILL ON THE FLOSS, which is predominantly autobiographical. I will be sharing photos so that you may travel with me from your favorite armchair as I offer the flavor of Eliot's "good old Griff!" and other exciting locations with you. I also have video footage to share. The interview with John Burton, Chair of the George Eliot Fellowship, went on for three days as we dashed about the Midlands sharing tidbits as Eliot enthusiasts do. I am deeply indebted to John Burton and his wife, Lynda, for taking their time to respond to my individual dreams of learning the more personal/local aspects of George Eliot so that I can pursue the publication of GEORGE ELIOT LIVES. To be continued after I recover from the travel aspects of the journey! (Also see the 11 March, 2013 post on my blog for this site: THE GREAT SUITCASE SNAFU! Hysterical!)

Isn't TRAVEL grand?
February 2013
February finds me preparing for a trip to England to do some research for my book GEORGE ELIOT LIVES. I don't ordinarily travel during the winter months, but I am told it is less expensive and there is less competition for plane seats and tourist attractions. So here we go! My husband and I will be spending two weeks touring Eliot and Jeffries sites (hubby is writing a book also, and Jeffries is among the authors he's researching). I look forward to meeting members of the George Eliot Fellowship, particularly the Chairman. We're also planning to meet-up with a few friends across the pond.
It is a dedicated process getting ready to leave your home and business! Thankfully, we have several trustworthy watchers and keepers taking care of the property for us while we are away. But there is so much to do: purchasing tickets for flights, pay ahead long term bus passes, checking the size of bags permitted on the plane, gathering emergency information, passport, comfy outer gear, buying a phone that works in Europe, making sure you have an ipad with appropriate recharge adapter, a camera that doesn't weigh too much with a new memory card and fresh batteries, digital recorder with new batteries, supplies that are flight permissible, maps, brochures, RFID safe wallet for passport and c cards, enough clothes for one week (plan to do laundry at least once), a book to read on the plane, and a plan for using the restroom in a friendly way while on the flights (antibiotic gel, extra Kleenex, small pack wet wipes.) And that's just a portion of the preparation that goes into a trip out of country. Writers carry notebooks and memo pads, pens, and journals. If they are also artistic, they carry a sketch book and art pencils.
Are you exhausted yet? No? How about clothing and shoes! For women, that matters! I am doing mostly earth tones that will mix and match with a couple brightly colored scarves for evening. I have a great pair of sturdy leather boots and some durable all terrain shoes. Yes, we'll be hiking! Did I mention medications, vitamins, and cold/flu deterrants? How about emergency numbers written neatly into a tiny phonebook! Oh, last minute stopping of mail and newspapers, a fresh haircut, and don't forget your favorite pillow! You'll be mean as a snake if you don't sleep well! Make sure you pay your bills in advance and get travelers checks or Visa cards that can be used at your destination and a bit of cash for the airport refreshments and Taxi if necessary. Well, if you braved your way through this article, you will be just fine traveling around the globe!
See you in March 2013 to follow up on our trip to England. Blessings to all of you!

Issue #2
Where to start?
January 2013
Well, well, well, it's a new year! And we are still on the planet! How does one get beyond an apocalyptic year like 2012, and move into the New Year with Aquarian free style? Just DO IT! If you are a motivator like me, you are duty bound to pronounce that all is well when all is well within you! Keep your wits about you! Steady as she goes!
My New Year started with a bang, but hey, it was the first of 7 days in the first month of the New Year! How could it go wrong? (see my book 7 DAYS) A publisher requested to read one of my completed manuscripts. I had not even queried that company! Day 2-7 began a wild week of preparing for a trip to the UK to write the Afterword for that book, and to get some original photos for it. I have connections with a fellowship in the UK which will give my hubby and me private tours in the areas of interest! All week long the good news kept coming, and I worked madly to take advantage of that high energy cycle of the first 7 days. Synchronicity was at an all time high! Still is on this 17 day of January!
This is more hubbub to be sure, but it is hubbub worth sharing, not notions about the world ending. The world will end when the world will end, and not a moment sooner! Meanwhile, we have work to do. What's on your life list? What have you done thus far in 2013? Is this YOUR year to be stellar? If you are reading this HUBBUB NEWSLETTER, chances are it WILL be! Get out a pen and paper and write down 7 things you believe are holding you back from becoming who you really want to be. Then methodically answer each question. BE HONEST! If your answers read like excuses, you have work to do. If your answers are legitimate, get started on manifesting what you need to make your life list dreams come true!
Don't die an imposter! LIVE YOUR LIFE AS THE REAL YOU--THE ONE YOU WERE CREATED TO BE--THAT DIVINE ONE THAT SPEAKS TO YOU FROM INSIDE YOUR BEING! Bring it!

What's all the hubbub? Issue #1
December 2012

Most would start Issue #1 of a newsletter with January! But not me; I start everything ahead of schedule! So Issue #1 of "What's All the Hubbub?" starts in December, 2012.
So other than the Christmas hubbub, there is other hubbub about the fiscal cliff, December 21st, 2012, the presidential election aftermath, the Sandy aftermath, the flu epidemic and in general--hubbub about hubbub!
Since there is so much hubbub, I will keep Issue #1 to a minimum, and simply guide you to a blank notebook on which you may feel obliged to write down things you want to change or improve upon in 2013! See you on the flipside, unless all the hubbub about the world ending on December 21st is true!
