"I hear so many saying that this has been the longest, hardest winter they've ever lived to witness. While that may be a bit of an exaggeration, I'm sure it feels that way to most! To be honest, I am thankful to work from home. As most of you know, I am an author and small business owner (B & B), and I spend my days writing in my upstairs office, working around the manor house and grounds, and enjoying the company of my husband and our fur friend, Rocky. On days when I can manage to get out of the driveway, I visit my daughter and grandchildren who live close by. So, I'm not the one to judge how bad this winter has been, or if those who are discontented should stop wagging their chins, dig down for the duration, and do something with the time they must spend indoors.
"Ahhh, yes, there she goes," you say, the motivational mentor showing us the way!" Well, I can only tell you that concentrating on what you can do to improve your situation will make you much more successful than concentrating on what you cannot do! You can't change winter weather, but you can change your attitude and use it as a source of gratitude. Be grateful you have the time to work on projects left long undone. Be thankful you are saving money (and perhaps your lives) by staying home in inclement weather. I write this as another big winter storm is fast approaching! I am tucked in my office and working on my goals for the next 7 DAYS! At the beginning of the second week of March, I will have accomplished at least one major goal toward a lifelong objective. How about you? Is this your winter of content or discontent?" ~ NAMASTE, Freda
